Emma, the new barista, has garnered particular acclaim for bringing that cup worth taking a detour for.

Beyond the food and drink, the cafe’s ambiance strikes a balance between casual comfort and local cultural pride. The outdoor seating area, enhanced with artwork by a local Indigenous artist, creates a warm, inviting environment to recharge while taking in the surrounding beauty. Stopped in to grab a coffee on my way to Ongerup from Denmark. I have to be honest - I wasn’t expecting a great cuppa. But I was shocked at how good the coffee was! One of the best I’ve had in a long time. Grab some of their pies and sausage rolls as well and delicious is an understatement. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and had a chat. Great place to stop.

We stopped by after Bluff Knoll and the coffees were really good. It’s just come under new management and the family was very accomodating and lovely. They’re expanding their menu to vegetarian options soon which we will be looking forward to - give them a visit after a long hike. 10/10 recommend.

Did not expect to find burgers this delicious this remotely. Got them on recommendation from the front desk lady as the patties are homemade, and they did not disappoint. Juicy and delicious, from the first bite to the last. Apparently new owners since May 2025, if they put out consistent quality like this they'll be sure to do well. Too delicious to not devour immediately, therefor only an after picture.

New owners and a fresh wind! Emma makes a coffee worth taking a detour for, and her mum's muffins are fresh and delicious. I'm glad the cafe is finally open again, and it's great to see an enthusiastic family with plenty of ideas to make this a success. Please come out and support them. Great to see the outdoor area extended and decorated with the work of a local indigenous artist.

The food is excellent, especially liked the burgers. Good way of refueling after the Ridge Walk. David picked us up from the Ellen Peak carpark and delivered us to our car at Bluff Knoll carpark. Really appreciated the service. He even turned up with a smile even though it was late and we were smelly bedraggled hikers.
